This book would definitely make a wonderful present for any girl (or boy) who loves science.

• Ada Twist is a scientist and she loves finding answers to all of her questions. When Ada's friend Rosie's Uncle Ned, wearing his helium pants, has a mishap and is floating farther away, Ada's questioning mind and her desire for answers are just what it takes to save the day.
  
  I read this book aloud to my five-year-old twins, and they both said they liked it and it was funny and they think lots of people should read it. My son said readers will think the pants are funny, and my daughter said she likes Ada because she does experiments. As an adult, I also enjoyed the book. It was a fun story, and I'm looking forward to seeing the final version with the finished illustrations. My kids and I have enjoyed both of the chapter books in this series, as well as the picture books, and will definitely be reading more about Ada, Iggy, and Rosie in the future.

• My 6 year old kindergartener loved this book. He is a strong reader, so I have been looking for more challenging books for him that still have appropriate subject matter for his age. The science theme is just perfect. It introduces harder words and concepts like hypothesis in an interesting and engaging way. He stayed up late reading 2 chapters on his own and then woke up early the next morning to read 2 more chapters- high praise from a kindergartener! As a mom, I love that it shows a girl person of color doing science.
• So smart and funny! We love this book! From 4yrs to 84 years...a delightful book!

• Just over the moon ridiculously the best.
  
  How can Cameron Stanton become any more sexy, delectable, and delicious? I thought I’d had it bad before, but no...I had no idea the depths that my heart or my crush for this man could go.
  
  This epilogue was comical, heartwarming, sexy, naughty, and so absolutely freaking amazing.
  
  All I wanted to do was wrap my entire existence around these two the entire time I was reading. I was smiling so hard by the end my face was hurting. Tears of joy fell from my face, I laughed out loud, my heart felt the pings of joy, and that constant voice in my head going, “This man is hotter than sin” was resonating the entire read.
  
  Don’t hesitate for a not even a nano second. Ashley and Cams epilogue is a take your breath away must.
  
  Thank you T L Swan. You have no idea how much HAPPINESS you’ve brought by writing this HEA.
• I loved this follow up to Dr Stanton. Just the icing to my cake after book one. This is not just a simple Epilogue that you get at the end of a book that takes place years later. You get a full description leading up to events that happened at the end of Dr Stanton. TL Swan has out done herself with this follow up. I really really loved it. Dr Stanton was good, but this just perfected the storyline. I’m sure if you have been lucky enough to have read her books, you know how talented she is and won’t pass this read up. BUT if you are new to her writing, and want to check her books out, I highly suggest reading these two books together, along with the first four books in the series, as this is a spin off duo. I think we all needed this Epilogue due to all the ups and downs we had to go through in Dr Stanton, such a great way to end their story. Ahhhh what else can I say. I FREAKING LOVED IT!
  
  I have no complaints on this book. It was sweet and loving the whole way through. I liked that we got to hear a little bit more about their careers. I liked that it was family focused but even more so between Cameron and Ash. You get all the good feels in this book that redeemed a lot for me from book 1. Book one was great but some stuff happens that gets you so mad, you just need the characters to fix it and they do in this 200 plus pages of Epilogue. I can’t say enough good things without spoilers. Thank you T for writing it the way you did, just perfect for me!
• Whenever I think of my summer vacation this year, I think of DR. STANTON – it had been one of those reads I devoured at the pool and on the beach – and it stuck. I loved the story and everything Cameron Stanton, and learning that he and Ashley would get a novella-sized epilogue I felt giddy all over! The ending of the first book was perfect, but the prospect of once again immersing myself in their world and their happiness had me on cloud nine. I inhaled this book, fell right back into everything Stanton and swooned countless times. And as much as I love Cam’s domineering and protective ways – there was one character I fell for even harder Owen. God, their little boy is just everything! And him interacting with Cam…? Perfection! And Cam – his creativeness when he proposes (I think the title is hint enough that this is not a spoiler) and him time and again losing romantic points because he just cannot help saying something inappropriate and crass – this man is the whole package! Then there are their pranks in the elevator, I soooo loved them in the first book and couldn’t wipe the goofy grins off my face realizing they were still doing it. It’s hilarious!
  
  I’ve said it already, but I will say it again TL Swan is one of those authors I wish more people knew about. She is extremely talented, her writing funny, sexy with compelling storylines and intriguing real characters. Once you start you will be as hooked as me!
• I really want to give 5 stars. But I can’t get over that Dr Stanton a heart surgeon is doing manual labor! His hands are his tools. Ashley is younger but a surgeon especially a heart surgeon should protect their hands. But this is a romance not real life. So 4 stars because I love their chemistry and Cam is off the charts. I give him a 10+ in every category!!!

• What a sweet and sexy man Cameron Stanton is. I loved this book that follows up to the previous book Dr. Stanton. Have you met this man yet? Well let me tell you that if you haven't, you need to personally meet him and get to know his sexiness. He is one HOT ALPHA male that loves hard and feels deeply. TL Swan.... you rock!!!
• Wow, did I just breathe during the past few hours? I think not. HOT doesn't even begin to describe it! Cam Stanton's curls can definitely get this girl any time he wants.
  It was the perfect epilogue for two of my favourite people.
  TL Swan paints her characters so vividly, it feels as though you're reading about friends. I never finish a book in one sitting, unless it's one of hers. That should tell you everything you need to know.
  I'm left with bated breath, and wanting more...
• This book starts out where Dr. Stanton ended which was nice.
  It continues to about 40% of that storyline. Then it goes into wedding planning and such. Then it jumps like 10 years into their future.
  I really appreciated the time jumps with their journey as a couple. A great way to round out their HEA.

There is a mystery to solve, evil to vanquish and it obviously leads to another book I want to read. Loved it."

• The MC is homeless, doing well for herself despite everything. I liked that she accidently drew the men around her and they have no clue how to get back to wherever that is. The book draws you in, I finished it in one day so be prepared to snuggle on your couch. It's a paranormal RH (mmfmm) book and I enjoyed very much. Highly recommend to give this book a chance.
• This author is new to me. When I saw the pre-order link and read the description of the book, I knew deep in my gut that this would be a good book to invest in. I'm really glad that I did!
  
  This book is written well- the storyline and plot move along in a way that captivated my interest from start to finish. The book has left me on the edge of my seat and I eagerly read each line of text before moving on...sometimes having to place a tissue on my kindle just so that I don't jump ahead accidentally and ruin a surprise. The characters were well rounded and made me laugh several times. I can't wait to see what Dani gets up to with the guys in the next book!
  
  I'm going to head off to pre-order the next book....I can't believe I have to wait a few weeks to get it in my hands! Thank goodness they're released so close together or else I'd be making a round circle shape in my living room carpet (from all the pacing in eager anticipation).

• One of the best opening lines ) and the story just gets better from there. Dani is a great MC. I like her resilience, wit, and attitude. Her four demons are interesting, and I can’t wait to see her relationships develop. The story does end on a surprising note, so hopefully book 2 is out soon!

• This is a fun and unique book that revamps the Phoenix mythos and dances with demon tales. Young but street smart, Dani is a newly born Phoenix blessed, or cursed, to be bound to a quartet of demons determined to get home - and none of them know why.

• Overall 3.5-4 stars (3.5 maybe after that crappy cliffhanger lol). Anyway, the book was definitely captivating. The first chapter alone had a killer opening. The FMC is a spunky, homeless young woman. She's resourceful and knows what she needs to do to survivr... or so she thinks. Enters 4 hot demons with a thing for killing evil souls...well they definitely love the action. The FMC now has the 4 bound to her and she's not human anymore either. So the book was easy to read, the the setting and world-building could use a tad more work. I may have just expected more fanciful decriptions- more tropey (not a bad thing) with a high school vibe vs young adult mentality. I did like how she didn't trust anyone except herself which is believable of a person in her situation. She didn't experience insta anything love, trust, like etc. I also need more interactions with the hot demon quartet- did not get enough out of them, just snippets, so I cannot definitively grasp their personalities. Interesting enough to read the next book, but I hope for more from the characters if I'm to stay into this series.
• Wow. This book is something else. I definitely enjoyed reading this. Fun story for sure...
  The story is really good and interesting. A lot of action going on and pretty funny too! I lost count how many times I laughed so hard that my kids and mom stopped to stare at me.
  
  I sort of guessed towards the beginning of the book what was really going on with Dani. Definitely got confirmation towards the end of the book. I like that although it seems like a familiar story about an academy with paranormals, it is still unique. The powers and the characters are so awesome! I love the little harem she has going on as well. Could not have picked a better group of men for her!
  
  This book does end with a cliffhanger but it is really worth reading. I cannot wait for the next book...

Tolkien and Le Guinn were not any more creative, many fantasy elements in their stories go back to before their stories as well. But this author is judged much more harshly and unjustly because he is young by people who are unable to form their own opinions and blindly judge the worth of a book by its acclaim. And the fact that this book is not a cult classic such as Tolkein's should not affect its merit.

It is a very good book and is only insulted by those jealous of the young author's success."

• I thoroughly enjoyed Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, and Inheritance of Chris Paolini's The Inheritance Cycle series. Originally intended as a trilogy, their bestselling success spawned a fourth book, which was a very welcome addition. I have since handed them down to my nephew where they are enjoying a new life with a new generation.
  
  Though they've been out for quite awhile now, I have to be honest and say I bought them years ago, and only got them off the shelf a few months ago. Having been grown up as an avid fan of Dungeons and Dragons, Lord of the Rings, and the usual fantasy fare, I was pretty excited to re-enter that universe.
  
  These have been reviewed ad infinitum; so I think I can really only add to the discussion my own experience with the four book as a 47-year-old reader. I was a bit concerned that they might be written a bit too much for kids, as I'd heard they were. But, I have to say, I was definitely misinformed. These are as applicable to adults as the Harry Potter or Hunger Games books or any other well-written fantasy tales that were initially marketed to the teen reader market, but obviously found runaway success with readers from all age brackets.
  
  In short, each of the four books was a very fun read, and I would absolutely recommend the series to anyone with an interest in the fantasy genre.

• My favorite dragon series is Paolini's. Why do I like it? Of course, Saphira, the Blue Dragon , is a wonderful character. She is a wise and wise-cracking creature with a tremendous sense of humor. Eragon is a believable hero who grows in complexity as he ages and meets the many challenges in his life. We meet elves, dwarves, sorcerers, monsters, witches , a werecat and humans , some good, some evil. What sets this series above the typical dragon fantasy is its very practical understanding of politics. I am amazed at the astuteness of the young author of these works. He understands the impact politics has on our morality and presents numerous examples of the dangers all of us face when presented with political decision making.
• On pages 237-244 and 261-268 there is a black strip at the top, the margins are screwed up, the page numbers are at different heights. I'm assuming that this is a printing issue, so I'm doing a return. There is also a lot of adhesive residue on the back cover.
  
  Edit 1 this is ridiculous. This replacement is also damaged, and mismade. The dust cover is bunched and slightly torn. The printing on the dust cover is off center, to the point that the spine text looks fully right aligned, not centered. Dropping to one star, because this is unacceptable.
• Can’t say it’s the best written book ever if you’re an adult. Much of the book is written a little vanilla plain. However, it is a very good story and well written considering Pasolini was fifteen years old when he started to write this novel. This entire series is worth reading a few times. Don’t waste your time on the movie as it’s nothing like the book and the only thing used from the book in the movie is the character names.

• I liked reading this book so that I could discuss it with my grandson who'd read it. He let me know he'd read the series, but warned me the movie wasn't so hot. I suppose for a fantasy novel (of which genre I rarely read), it was fine. The best part was enjoying with someone else. I think it's pretty impressive that the author wrote it at such a young age too.
  
  There's a lot of imagination here, but at times, I felt like Paolini was trying to be a Tolkein, and just adding a dragon into the mix.

• After 20 years of writing 17 books, mostly on the science of building sustainable human networks, I'd like to think I know when something "new" comes along that will improve the way companies market . . . for the better. This is one of those books. Read it and reap the benefits of being, not only "Known," (Mark's last bestseller), but also "human." I mean "really" human -- human to the point of using your ability to care, connect, and even "co-create" with your customers. This book is about being so human in your marketing that your customers/clients move straight to trusting you that they stay connected so they can be a big part of the future of your company's success. This book is about figuring out how to be so human that you grow, not just your company brand, but the personal brands of your employees as well. I mean when you have the billion-dollar tool like LinkedIn where your employees can showcase your best offerings with their personal and business networks daily, why wouldn't you want to figure out how to best empower them to share?
  
  Take for example CDW in Chicago where I live. I provided them with enterprise-wide LinkedIn training. They had their leaders from the government procurement side of the business as well as the head of their commercial business. They encouraged their employees to share their talents outside of the workplace. For example, one of their executives was a photographer on the side who took pictures of homeless moms with their children, providing these families with a gift that these moms cherished. By showing the human side of herself, this employee at CDW gave a more inviting, human face to the whole company. As a result of these enlighted efforts, the whole company got lifted to a deeper connection with both current clients and prospects.
  
  In this great book, Mark lays out the reality that marketing has because so tech-focused that companies that have adopted this path are in danger of losing their customers in droves. I love his "rebellion" approach. It's a manifesto for a new age of marketing. Mark further offers the path to people, purpose, and the profits that flow from this more human approach.
  
  But he has done more than just provide a book for those who are ready to wake up and rebel. He also provides ongoing support through his website and podcast. Mark is building a community of rebels who advocate for a more human business world. I'm one of those rebels. I'm very grateful that it was Mark who took up the cause of bringing back a focus on the things that really matter most in business and in life.
• Mark Schaefer’s Marketing Rebellion channels the consumer’s rage against the marketing machine into a wake-up call for the reimagining of marketing to BE MORE HUMAN.

• This is an edited watered down version of the book. It poses as the real thing but please don't waste your money. I bought this as an ebook companion to my hard copy and I regret the decision completely. If you want Rebecca buy the publishers version.
  Not only is the book edited but there are so many typos and errors.
  
  This is terrible, do not buy.
• DO NOT BUY. This should not have Daphne du Maurier's name on it as this is a hatchet job of her wonderful book. I had to return the digital copy and decided to buy the more expensive one. I originally went with this cause I didn't need the included audiobook in the more expensive one but this is only 1/4 the length of the actual book and is riddled with spelling and punctuation errors. This is not the version of the classic that you are looking for. DO NOT BUY.
• This is a great book - if you get the full book. This edition doesn't start at the beginning. Rebecca has one literature's most famous first lines "
  Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again". This version skips the first chapter entirely and starts around chapter 3. It is an insult to a wonderful book. Don't make a mistake and get it. You will miss the real depth of the book.
• The formatting and typos in this book make it almost unreadable. It is truly awful. Spend the extra six bucks and get a decent version.
  
  Edit after buying the $9.99 version of Rebecca, I now know this version is barely similar to the 'real' story. The famous opening line 'I dreamt again of Manderley.....’ doesn't even appear and the book seems to be a very poorly condensed edit or...something....?? I'm asking for a refund. The publisher should be ashamed!
• I've saved this book on my to-read list for so long. It's one of the "secret treat" books I've stocked up like emergency supplies for desperate moments, when I need something new to me but 100% guaranteed lovely. After a lot of recent travel, stress, and child minding, I finally found a few hours of respite in a warm lamplit room, deliciously alone. Rebecca was indeed exactly what I needed.
  
  All this aside, the book isn't for everyone. If you're not already a fan, this checklist may help you decide whether or not to add Rebecca to your own secret treat shelf
  
  1. Do you like gothic fiction?
  
  Although it was first published in 1938, Rebecca ages exquisitely and i's not hard for a modern reader to fall deeply in love with it. The style and turns of phrase are no barrier--it's the genre itself that will either draw you in or leave you cold. I loved Jane Eyre as a child, and this love abetted my love of Rebecca, which is famously derivative of Jane Eyre's general plot woman falls in love with a man haunted in mysterious ways by his former wife. If the idea of women wandering windswept grounds of great houses, plagued by mysterious barriers to love, sometimes in the form of the ghost (literal or figurative) of another woman sounds cozy to you, if you loved Catherine and Heathcliff or Darcy and Elizabeth, and you fancy dark psychological acrobatics, give Rebecca a shot.
  
  2. Does a warm bath, a hot drink, and a new sweater sound good to you right now?
  
  Rebecca is a fall read, hands down. It's rainy, it's morose, it's the dominating presence of a grand old mansion in a remote location.
  
  3. Have you seen the movie Rebecca (1940), did you like it, do you like old movies at all?
  
  The movie does not follow the plot exactly, but having loved the movie for a long time and now having read the book, the tone of the movie feels authentic and true to the novel. Once every few years, I go on an autumn binge and watch The Uninvited (1944), Vertigo (1958), Rebecca, and to end on a lighter note, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947).
  
  4. Are you a feminist?
  
  Old fashioned gender roles in Rebecca's setting will definitely irk some readers. As a feminist, I was less annoyed than interested. The mirroring of the protagonist (shy, inexperienced, subservient) and the dead Rebecca (domineering, brave, selfish, accomplished) added a great sociological layer to the experience of reading. Sally Beauman's excellent Afterword offers a wonderful explanation of the gendered forces at work in Rebecca, and also addresses several misinterpretations of the novel at the time of its publication.
  
  If you've answered yes to any of the questions above, I absolutely recommend that you read the first 30 pages at least. Get past the description of Manderly in the dream, and begin to read about when the protagonist first meets widower Maxim de Winter, and if you're liking it by then, you'll love the rest.
• I've always been an admirer of the first person narrative. When handled deftly, it magnifies the complex variables that comprise us all. Rebecca is a psychological treatise with a confessional tone spawned from the narrator's perception, and this is the story. That the narrator is young, inexperienced, and overwhelmed to the point of skittishness sets the dark tone of every paragraph in this cleverly paced mystery. Her vantage point is solidly built on assumption, suspicion and crippling self doubt. The plot is a simple one the young narrator begins as a paid, personal companion to a domineering wealthy woman, who is on holiday in Monte Carlo, when fate places her in the dining room of a luxuriant hotel next to the table of the troubled widower, Max de Winter, who hails from the Cornish Coast. An awkward and unlikely alliance develops between the narrator and the worldly Max de Winter, which leads to a hasty marriage, in which the reader learns along with the narrator of de Winters' disturbing past. Set in the house and rambling coastal grounds of de Winters' stately Manderley, the narrator enters a dynamic firmly in play, whose tone was cast and exists still from the hand of Rebecca the first Mrs. de Winter. Rebecca's shadow looms imperiously, and brings to the fore the narrator's insecurities. Having no background story on her predecessor, the inchoate narrator is tossed by the winds of assumption, half-truths and incomplete perceptions made all the more dark by the presence of Rebecca's loyal personal maid, Mrs. Danvers, whose presence lends a disquieting air, due to her supercilious knack for comparison. Rebecca is an off-kilter mystery that unfolds along the road of the search for truth regarding what, exactly, happened to Rebecca. That the narrator stays in suspense until the sinister end lures the reader through a story elegantly told in language so poetic, it is its own experience.
